Privacy Policy

Bill inputs stay in your browser

Names, item descriptions, amounts, selected participants and payment details entered into the calculator are processed in your own browser. Our calculator does not upload these inputs, store them on a server, or save a local history. Closing the page ends that page session unless you kept a share link.

Share links contain the bill

When you copy a share link, the full bill is encoded in the URL fragment after the # character. It is encoded, not encrypted. Anyone with the link can read the names and amounts and restore the bill. URL fragments are not part of the HTTP request sent to the web server, but your browser, clipboard, messages and services through which you share the link may retain it. Do not put sensitive personal information in a shared bill.

Hosting and technical information

Cloudflare hosts this site and provides DNS, HTTPS and security services. Serving the site requires technical information such as an IP address, requested path, browser information and request time. Cloudflare may process this information for delivery, security and operational purposes. This differs from calculator inputs, which our page does not transmit.

Analytics and advertising

This version does not include an analytics script or advertising code. We plan to display third-party advertising in the future. Before enabling it, we will update this policy to identify the providers, describe any cookies or similar technologies, and explain the applicable choices. There are no third-party ads running on this page at present.

Contact email

We are verifying an email contact channel using Cloudflare Email Routing and a Google mailbox. Until delivery verification passes, no public contact address is listed. If you contact us after an address is published, these providers process the message and its delivery information. Do not send passwords, card details or unnecessary personal information.

Questions

For privacy questions or requests about a message you sent us, use the contact page. We cannot retrieve or delete bill inputs that only exist in your browser or a link you shared with another person.
